Our projected annual budget for Micah’s House is $114,092.

Previously, we explained the importance of establishing Micah’s House in a way where we are not dependent upon payments from our residents in order to exist. By following this path, we will be able to construct the program in a direction that puts the residents’ future first without fear of not being able to pay our bills.

But how can we operate successfully and pay our own bills without receiving payments from our residents?

That will depend upon sufficient donations, and following this is how we hope to accomplish this. 

We are asking those of you who can to commit to monthly donations covering a two-year period. Ideally, if 96 donors commit $100 a month for this period, this will meet our annual budget and allow us to operate as wisely as we can for two years without concern about how to pay the bills. We will update our donors quarterly about our progress, and through this (a) they will know how their assistance is progressing and (b) they will know if this is a program they might wish to continue assisting after their two-year commitment has been completed.

If someone wishes to help but cannot commit to $100 a month, any monthly amount will be greatly appreciated and will tell us what we can count on regularly toward our budget.

If a person wishes to help but cannot make a regular monthly commitment, that amount which is available will go into the operations account with everything else and will add to what has been provided to help us accomplish our overall goal.

In addition to commitments of monthly donations, we are asking for those who can to consider making (a) larger donation(s) in the beginning to provide what we refer to as our “seeding money.” The monthly donations will make it possible for us to maintain our monthly commitments, but we will have other larger bills in the beginning that must be paid in full, re. first, last, and security deposit for the lease on the selected residence, board and liability insurance, etc. This is what we will use the "seeding money" for.

We believe in accountability. In the quarterly update to our donors, we will share the amounts received and utilized through donations for Micah’s House (and, when applicable, the amount received through residential program fees). Additionally, we are a nonprofit organization, and donors can also count on us to provide receipts for these gifts before the pertinent tax season begins. Again, we believe in accountability, and we are grateful for your help.

NOTE: After education & job preparation has been completed (the timing of which will vary per individual and be guided by the needs and goals set specifically for him), every resident will begin paying weekly residential program fees. We cannot set the exact amount for this yet, but we will make it a reasonable amount, and these weekly program fees will be deposited into the ministry’s operations account. These payments will supplement the donations that make it possible for us to move forward with this project.
